Record turnout for SPBR! name

A huge number of MBSC sailors competed in the Sir Peter Blake Regatta at Torbay in the weekend. It was wonderful to see so many of our Blue and Green Opti sailors enjoying the occasion. The weather turned it on with hot, sunny, light wind conditions and there was a record number of entries at 492! Opti Green fleet had 114 entries and Opti Open 96 entries, making for a fantastic spectacle on their race courses!

Congratulations to all our podium placegetters and a huge congratulations to Caleb Armit, joint winner of the Sir Peter Blake Trophy!! "This prestigious trophy is awarded as the overall winner for outstanding achievement across all classes and all age groups of the regatta. As only one trophy winner is awarded each year in honour of Sir Peter Blake this trophy has become a major milestone for many aspiring top sailors. The award celebrates racing success, leadership, and competitive spirit."
