We are excited to be hosting you all this week at the Stack Winter Champs Coaching Clinic, we know some of you are just doing either the Thursday or Friday and most both days. The weather looks great, with nice moderate offshore winds and a flat sea state.
Dropping and parking
Parents please be quick with dropping off boats, we have a construction site down at the beach and there is very limited space for everyone. There is plenty of parking in the neighbouring streets once you’ve unloaded boats. Please be careful not to block our neighbours driveways.
Rigging areas
Optimist and P-Class, try to keep to the right of the grass area over by the bank in front of the club house, this should leave room for the Starlings and Open Skiffs on the grass in front of the bunker. Keep the footpath by the road clear for cars dropping off boats.
What to bring
Summer hasn’t quite reached us so bring plenty of warm sailing gear.
Unfortunately our galley won’t be open for this clinic, so make sure you bring lunch, plenty of snacks and water bottles (we have filtered water on tap by the bunker).
- Warm sailing gear
- Sunblock
- Hat and sunnies
- Lunch
- Drybag (excluding green fleet) coach may want for lunch to be eaten on the water
- Snacks
- Water bottle
- Friendly, learning attitude
Safety
- Please be careful crossing the road, cars do drive quickly along Beach Road.
- We have a construction site finishing the rebuilding of the sea wall down by the beach, so take care of this area and look out for machinery.
- If any parents are able to help with launching and retrieving, please let the coach know so they can give you an indicative time – help will be much appreciated, especially the less experienced sailors!
